Your Adventure Starts Here!
What is Yearbook University?
Yearbook University is the ultimate education in yearbook journalism and leadership for yearbook advisers, editors, and staff members that want to make their yearbook the best one possible.
This three-day workshop is focused on leadership and planning for your 2012 yearbook. Advisers should attend and bring their main editors, business managers, design editors, photo editors, and other leaders on staff. All of the decision makers should be there as a team. New staff members also have a lot to contribute, so you should invite your entire staff.
We will do lots of theme concept, design ideas, coverage planning, and business planning for your 2012 yearbook.
- Monday afternoon will be focused completely on leadership training and teambuilding.
- Tuesday will be focused on Yearbook Inspiration and Planning, led by Casey Nichols, our main instructor.
- Wednesday will focus on Production Training with Cover Artist Appointments and Elective Mini-Sessions throughout the day.
Is it all work?
Nope, fun and yearbook camp go hand in hand. You’ll make new friends, bond with your staff, and join in on all the cool things we have for you to do. The Yearbook Adventure Games on Monday will be an incredibly fun time as you solve challenges and gel as a team. We also have fun activities each night, such as the Yearbook Bonfire, the Swimming Pool Party, Ice Cream Social, The People’s Choice Voting, and The Great Book Exchange.
